🎯 Role Purpose

The Lead MS SQL Server Database Administrator will manage enterprise-level SQL Server environments and guide a team of DBAs. The role focuses on ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and security across on-premises and cloud systems.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Leadership & Mentoring

Lead and mentor Database Administrators.
Act as an escalation point for complex incidents.

Database Architecture & Management

Design and manage SQL Server environments (on-premises and cloud).

Ensure disaster recovery and high availability using Always On, clustering, replication, and log shipping.

Performance Optimization

Automate monitoring, maintenance, and database provisioning.
Evaluate emerging SQL Server and cloud technologies.

✅ Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience, including 2–3 years in a lead role.
Strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
Proven disaster recovery and high availability experience.
Advanced performance tuning and indexing knowledge.
Hands-on skills with Azure SQL, Managed Instances, and AWS RDS.
Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
